May I ask
for a simple task
revert your vision
envision a younger
version of yourself
how do you choose?
your friends
your lovers
your in-betweens
it seems to me
that it’s not based
on connection or
devotion
or taste
it’s based
on location and
what an aggravation that is
a sadness, pure madness
to base the people you
care about on convenience,
easiness
could you make me
feel any less important,
worthless because of my zip code
I’m tired of tearing up and
blaming it on my lymph nodes
so if this is all based on convenience
I’m gunna have the decency to
leave
